I will be the first to admit that I can be a tad on the compulsive side. So when I get it in my head that I must find the perfect fill-in-the-blank, no stone is left unturned until that something is found. As I prepared for the birth of my first child, that something was inevitably, that symbol of blissful motherhood… the baby stroller!
I trolled the baby stores. I asked all my new mommy friends. As I grew increasingly rotund, I logged countless hours online. I started with the Snap-n-Go and moved on to a standard single that was okay. When I thought I had completed my quest, I was pregnant with baby number two. My criteria had changed. I needed a double stroller, preferably with the option to snap in an infant seat. Two years later, we moved from the suburbs to the city. Yet again, our daily routine with stroller was completely different. I didn’t have the nerve to fess up to my husband that I had bought yet another stroller, this time a double jogger.
I will be perfectly honest in saying that I don’t think I ever found the perfect one. I suppose the first clue is the pile of strollers in my garage. I have five of them… and only two children, mind you. I guess you could say I am a stroller connoisseur, of sorts. I definitely have stroller envy. Whenever I meet new babies, I sneak guilty peaks at the stroller their parents have chosen. Ah yes, that urban jogger is so perfect for them. Look at the hip lime green umbrella; why wasn’t that around when my babies were little?! Sick, isn’t it?
How apropos then that I’ve launched a site in homage to my secret obsession: strollers. I do all the research so that you don’t have to do it yourself. At the end of the day, it’s not about the strollers of course, but about the babies. The stroller is just the vehicle, the backdrop for truly magical memories. I’ve compiled the most important information about this essential accessory on one site so that you can get on with the most important thing on your to-do list… be mommy!
